    Qualifications:
    • Must hold current Delaware Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH)
    • Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.
    • Will be required to work in-person/in the building for the position.
    Primary Duties:
    • Provide individual and group counseling as it relates to educational functioning and IEP goals.
    • Provide therapeutic classroom support which may include observation, crisis intervention, and staff consultation.
    • Functional Behavior Assessment,/Behavior Improvement Plan support, Individualized Education Plan Support.
    • Provide family treatment/support services as needed to improve/maintain educational functioning. These services may include short-term family therapy, family liaison and home visits.
    • Provide crisis intervention as it pertains to educational performance. Intervention may include family and/or interagency involvement (DMH, DRS, YRE, ICT, family Court, other mental health agencies).
    • Provide referrals to and collaborate with mental health agencies.
    • Participate as a member of the IEP team for students receiving services.
    • Serve as a liaison for psychiatric and medication management.
    • Serve as a liaison between families, students, community agencies and the schools.
    • Provide ongoing assessments of students utilizing documentation of Incident Reports, Bus Write-Ups, Suspensions, FACT sheets, FBA's, BIPs, Treatment Notes, Individual Time Out Logs and Documentation of Parent Contacts.
    • Obtain pre and post measurements to evaluate program efficiency.
    • Provide consultation and training to school staff on behavioral management strategies.
    • Provide families with information regarding behavioral management strategies.
    • Training in CPI or participate in training within 6 months of hire.
    • Home visits as needed.
    • Prepares all necessary records and reports.
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the administration.
