We have a client in Saint Joseph, MO who is looking to add a Lead Reimbursement Analyst to its team.

This is a direct hire, full-time position.


SUMMARY

This position provides superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service and is primarily concerned with reimbursement analyses of financial information of certain organizations.

Additionally, this position is responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of the current Medicare Cost Reporting system for these providers/organizations
This position works under the immediate supervision of the Director of Reimbursement and is employed by the organization


DUTIES
Preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports on an annual and interim basis. Also prepares various ad hoc special reports as needed
Responds to information requests from fiscal intermediaries (MACs), state and financial auditors
Assist in the preparation of appeals, re-openings and exception requests to attempt to maximize the allowable reimbursement under various payor programs
Provide assistance and guidance to officers, VP's, Directors, Managers and others on reimbursement related matters when needed
Stay current on the latest Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations and replay information as appropriate to others in the organization


Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum 5 years prior experience in reimbursement required
Knowledge in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Windows
Familiarity with cost reporting software required
