- Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or successful completion of the MTTC Basic Skills or WorkKeys (prior to 7/1/2016) or ETS Parapro Assessment (see attached information)

- Assist in the implementation of the MTSS framework, including data collection, progress monitoring, and support for tiered interventions.
- Provide direct academic intervention to individual students or small groups in specific subject areas as identified by screening assessments and classroom teacher
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and implement personalized intervention plans.
- Organize, support, and administer reading and math assessments and intervention lessons, under the direction of the teacher
- Participate in professional development opportunities related to academic interventions, student support strategies, and educational best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Provide group and/or individualized guided practice with classroom lessons and assignments, when needed, under the direction of the teacher
- Support implementation of reading and math curriculum under the direction of the teacher
- Engage in on-going instructional coaching in the areas of reading and math
- Promote positive relationships with students, parents, school staff, and community
- Perform other duties as assigned by building principal
- Experience working with high school students in an educational setting, particularly in academic support roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for helping students succeed.

Job Summary: The Academic Intervention Paraprofessional is a RAG grant fund position that will work closely with our teaching staff and administrative staff to support students in grades 9-12 who are at risk of not meeting academic standards.
