- Leads, coaches, and develops Genomics Field Sales in Eastern US, and support team to achieve growth and performance targets. Attracts, engages and retains outstanding talents that embraces the Danaher core values and the Danaher Business System (DBS), and is committed to provide outstanding support for our customers.
- Deploys appropriate strategies and tactics to ensure IDT's accelerated market penetration while meeting Danaher standards for operating margin expansion (OMX) and working capital deployment (WCT). Meets and/or exceeds requirements established in core value drivers (CVDs) and KPIs including but not limited to orders, revenue, operating margin, OMX, working capital, product and service quality, on-time delivery, internal fill rate, employee engagement and employee retention.
- Embraces DBS and passionately demand that the DBS fundamentals (visual daily management, standard work, voice of the customer (VOC), Kaizen basics, 5S, problem solving, value stream mapping and transactional process improvement) and solid commercial fundamentals (funnel management, order and revenue forecasting, dealer/distributor management) are consistently implemented and rigorously followed.
- Utilizes a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data. Manages external relations to develop and maintain high level contacts with industry and business associations, interest groups and key customers.
- Works closely and effectively with finance leadership including the regional finance partner to establish and ensure compliance with appropriate financial procedures and controls.
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
- Performs other duties as assigned. The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences
- Consistent track record in sales leadership and driving sustainable sales growth and exceeding sales targets.
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience in a Sales leadership role within North America
- 5+ years' sales experience within the life sciences field required; Genomics experience preferred.
- Prior experience owning and directing short to mid-term strategy execution and operational direction within sales
- Previous experience building, mentoring and leading a sales team required.
- Proven record of leadership and managing a sales organization with regional responsibility and establishing long term strategic growth initiatives required. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Masters or PhD in Life Science
