- Engineer for application migration / DataCenter exit project.
- 5-7 years experience in the Information Technology industry.
- 3+ years of experience in a network operations role.
- Experience with Illumio in a live environment.
- Provide support on Rapid Response and Hypercare plus troubleshooting issues (connectivity, proxy, app, security, load balancer) MACDs. Additionally, maintain the ticket queue, closing tickets upon completion of work.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting Cisco, Arista, F5, Palo Alto, Algosec and several other Network and Security Platforms.
- Experience in Cloud technologies and knowledge of VMWare and virtual technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Virtualized or Cloud Computing.
- Working experience with Enterprise level ticketing system such as ServiceNow.
- Must be flexible to work different shifts.
- Meet SLA/ SLO requirements for response, restore and notification time.
- Deploy and update device rule sets to security and network standards to include tools such as firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, F5, ForcePoint, Palo Alto, Panorama, Algosec, and Illumio.
- Troubleshoot issues during migration and testing.
- Ability to find firewall or Illumio agent blocks and remedy
- Maintain complete detail of issues in ticketing system.
- Handle escalations for issues that may occur after migration window.
- Lead backout efforts in case of unsuccessful migrations.
- Communicate and document to senior leaders and team.
- Participate in validation with application teams.
- Vendor certifications on one or more core technologies (F5, Illumio, Palo Alto, Arista, Cisco) are preferred but may be compensated by experience.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot various issues within firewalls and load balancers.
- Working knowledge of ITIL.
- Detail oriented and able to work with multiple teams with ability to lead troubleshoot efforts between teams.
- Ability to interpret the information collected by network tools (e.g. Nslookup, Ping, and Traceroute).
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Knowledge of host/network access control mechanisms (e.g., access control list, capabilities list).
- Familiarity with network traffic analysis methods.
- Proficiency in packet-level analysis using appropriate tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
- Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services.
- Skill in performing packet-level analysis.
