About the Position
Reporting to the SVP and Branch Manager of the Illinois office, the VP, Underwriting, will be responsible for managing
Property and Casualty lines of business for regional multiline accounts. The successful candidate will be comfortable
working both collaboratively and independently and a track record of sound decision making, productive relationship
building internally and externally, and identifying opportunities to achieve profitable growth across various market
conditions. As an Underwriter on our team, you will have an opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the management
of the business. Products written from our Schaumburg office include, but are not limited to Proportional and Quota
Share, Multi-line, Property Per Risk, Casualty Excess, Clash, and Property Catastrophe.
RenaissanceRe is an in-office culture, and we believe we are better together. The VP role is based in the Schaumburg
office and will join a collaborative, high-performing team of ~15 underwriters, actuaries, and underwriting assistants.
In addition to regional client travel, the VP, Underwriting, will be expected to travel within the continental United States,
with select travel to Bermuda other RenaissanceRe offices.
