    Who we're looking for

    Toyota'sService Part & Accessories Department (SPAD)Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to provide quality assurance and quality control technical leadership for products within the SPAD's portfolio. Below are examples of those commodities:

    • Interior/Exterior - accessories that enhance the interior and/or exterior of the vehicle. (Floor Mats, Grills, Door Edge Guards/Door Edge Film, Mudguards, Fender Vents, Body Kits, etc.)
    • Functional - accessories that enhance the performance of or adds function to the vehicle (Running Boards/Tube Steps, Activity Mounts, Bed Storage / Coolers, Bed Racks, Tow Hitches, Tow Hooks, etc.)
    • Performance - accessories that enhance the dynamic performance of the vehicle (Shocks, Wheels, Exhaust, Skid Plates, Sway bars, etc.)
    • Electrical - accessories that enhance the appearance and/or function of the vehicle (Fog lights, Illuminated Door Sills, Dashcam, Tow Wire Harness, etc.)

    The person in this role will support the SPAD department's objective to responsible for the development of quality engineering activities.

    What you'll be doing

    • Participate in the accessory development (Pre-production) on team meetings from program kick off until accessory is launched and in the field.
    • Accessory Quality confirmation by participating in design reviews, and validating against the drawing, review product performance specifications and final vehicle fit up validation.
    • Accessory Product Approval (APA - Package: product drawings / test results / fit-up reports / inspection standards/ MQC (Process Control)/ Off tool-Off process parts/others)
    • Work with Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Conversions & Accessory Operations Division (CAOD) to get accessory technical approval (TA) prior to production and shipping approval.
    • Accessory installation training with TLS port facilities at new or production upon vehicle launch
    • Conduct supplier audits and supplier improvement activities to level-up a supplier's quality capability.
    • Leverage process expertise to frame complex quality issues, which help identify root causes that lead to problem resolution.
    • This position will identify, approve, and implement process improvements, and define, frame, and integrate Toyota's quality requirements.

    What you bring

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical. Industrial or similar engineering degree
    • Quality Engineering experience for automotive manufacturing, such as quality control or quality assurance
    • Experience with Automotive Product Design and Development, such as quality part requirements or similar
    • Experience working with external suppliers including QC documentation, process control and part approval

    Added bonus if you have

    • Field quality experience, such as Customer QE / QA certification or equivalent
    • Experience with SQAM (Supplier Quality Assurance Manual) or similar industry standards
    • Experience developing and or interpreting engineering drawings
    • Tooling design experience
    • Experience with mold flow analysis
    • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) including Tolerance Stack-up analysis
    • Check fixture Design and Development experience
    • Experience with Fitting Stories such as datum structures on part drawing, datum training, basic concepts or similar
    • TBP completion through panel (Toyota Team Members Only)
