    Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Conyers, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex and ever-evolving environment. The initial role will be remote, with the possibility of on-site work at our future location.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess patient/client needs for equipment and select, instruct, and troubleshoot appropriate equipment/services.
    • Train and assist with daily operations of Respiratory Therapy, including vents, intake, coverage, and quality assurance.
    • Document orders for equipment and/or services from referral sources, physicians, patients/clients, family members, or caregivers.
    • Collect additional information and/or authorization as needed.
    • Involve patients/clients and/or family members/caregivers in the selection process.
    • Instruct patients/clients in proper use and care of equipment according to written policies and procedures.
    • Communicate with patients'physicians on changes in condition and/or needs and carry out adjustments to Plans of Care/Treatment.
    • Rotate to various branches to support business and patients, as needed.
    • Track and maintain follow-up on preventative maintenance and schedule visits for respiratory therapy equipment assigned to clients.
    • Assist with scheduled visits for clients receiving oxygen therapy, as needed.
    • Complete patient/client accounts paperwork, including Plans of Care/Home assessments.
    • Act as a liaison between the company and patients/clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare agencies/staff on cases.
    • Conduct, participate in, and attend educational meetings/seminars for healthcare workers, patients/clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and community members on areas of need.
    • Arrange necessary referrals to community agencies or for traveling individuals to ensure continuity of care.
    • Develop and implement discharge plans for agency patients/clients.
    • Take full responsibility for actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
    • Support the organization by being loyal and informing branch managers of areas of concern and problems to be resolved.
    • Stay aware of third-party reimbursement, criteria services, billing, patient/client paperwork, and equipment offered.
    • Be willing to work after normal business hours and on weekends.
    • Oversee all clinical functions performed by the company.
    • Perform all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.
    • Display a flexible attitude and willingness to take on extra tasks as needed.

    About You:

    • High degree of integrity.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
    • Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience in the field of respiratory care.
    • Thorough knowledge and skills related to Home Medical Equipment.
    • Ability to effectively manage all respiratory products provided by the company.
    • People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.
    • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
    • Ability to cater to diverse customer base.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

    Work Schedule:

    • This is a full-time position that requires a 40-hour work week.
    • Hours: Generally, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
    • This position has an on-call rotation.
    • Overtime as needed.
