SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Job Summary:
The role of the Senior Construction Project Manager is to navigate the intricacies of project planning, execution, and successful completion within predefined timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Formulates comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and financial parameters.
Conducts project kick-off meetings, articulating project goals and expectations to team members.
Allocates resources—human, financial, and equipment—to support project activities.
Vigilantly monitors project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues promptly.
Cultivates professional relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals.
Manages project documentation, including contracts, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
Skillfully manages client expectations regarding quality, schedule, and budget.
Facilitates regular project meetings, providing updates, milestone reviews, and risk assessments.
Ensures compliance with building codes, project specifications, and industry standards.
Evaluates project performance against established metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepares and delivers project reports, including budget variance analysis and milestone achievements.
Conducts productive Owner-Architect-Contractor and Architect-Design-Contractor meetings, documenting progress.
Collaborates with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team to ensure timely payments.
Nurtures existing client relationships and identifies potential clients.
Initiates contact with potential customers to build relationships and drive sales.
Utilizes existing contacts and establishes new relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential partners to foster new business opportunities.
Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective prioritization and delegation skills.
Proactive identification and resolution of potential risks.
Efficient interpretation of plan drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Basecamp, SAGE, BuildOps).
Knowledge of construction accounting – revenue, budget, and cost.
Familiarity with construction estimating.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction schedules, budgets, and contracts, with 3 years in a senior or leadership role required.
PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
Extended periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling; ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
