Growing MSP is looking for a System Engineer.

As a System Engineer, you'll be responsible for working in a team environment in a mentorship capacity and will handle escalation requests from the service desk and field engineers.

All our engineers are responsible for maintaining user uptime and improving their computing experiences through effective maintenance, problem identification and resolution activities, as well as growing and developing the organization's perception with existing customers through exceptional customer service.

The System Engineer must be energetic and focused with a strong motivation to learn new technologies, management, and maintenance processes.

The System Engineer position requires dedication, persistence, effective utilization of provided resources, and the ability to deliver superior customer service.

Qualifications we are looking for:
Minimum 4 years' experience with comprehensive IT administration and support of small, medium, and multi-site networks.
Working knowledge and demonstrable skills with network administration, Windows administration, server management, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS.
Experience with LAN and WAN networking including VPNs, subnetting, VLANs and routing.
Experience with VMware, Installing and upgrading ESXi Host and vCenter
Proficiency with SonicWall security appliances.
Proficiency with Fortinet security appliances.
Ability to design, document, implement, monitor, and support client networks.
Security-focused approach to managing networks.
Experience with managing cloud platforms and technologies, Azure and AWS
Reliable Form of Transportation.
Ability to provide Excellent Customer Service.

Responsibilities
Support IT projects with network design and implementation.
Participate in the sales process, to create and propose solutions for clients and prospects.
Solve networking issues such as performance problems and connectivity issues.
Manage client security devices such as firewall configuration and firmware updates.
Create professional documentation of networks and their configurations.
Plan and execute various technology alignment projects such as implementing 2FA for VPN users of a client network, Office 365 Migration, Client Onboardings
Implementation and support of virtual platforms built on Microsoft's Hyper-V, VMware, or Cloud Servers such as AWS/Azure.
Design, implementation, Support services for Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
Working in a team environment in a mentorship capacity.
Handle escalation requests from the service team and field engineers.
Maintain user uptime and improve their computing experience through effective maintenance and problem resolution.
Design, implement, and support SonicWall networks.
Design, implement, and support Microsoft 365 stack solutions.
Excellent knowledge with email solution in area of implementation, configuration and administration
Strong knowledge of Microsoft networks including the administration and management of Server 2012 through 2019 technologies including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy
Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN and Terminal Services
Implementation and support of disaster recovery solutions
Provide third-tier escalation support and mentorship to other engineers
Strong knowledge of Backup Solutions
Strong understanding of remote solutions such as Remote Desktop Services and Citrix
Excellent knowledge of network Storage Solution

Physical Demand
Maintaining a clear head and awareness to manage potentially stressful situations.
Comfortable working in and around tight spaces such as server rooms and equipment racks.
Ability to lift 20lb to 50lb.
