    Description
    As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Buffett Attendant is to maintain the buffet by transporting hot and cold food items from the kitchen to the buffet line, ensuring that the food pans are consistently filled, clean, and visually appealing during meal sessions. This role is essential for creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our guests by creating a positive first impression with a warm smile and addressing guests by name whenever possible. This role is also responsible for monitoring food temperature and removing any leftover items at the end of each session, while also thoroughly cleaning the buffet food line.
    • Transports serving pans of hot and cold food items from the kitchen and expertly arranges them on the buffet line, ensuring an appealing presentation and easy guest access.
    • Diligently monitors and maintains the buffet line, ensuring all food item pans are consistently full, clean, and attractive during meal sessions, and regularly checking and regulating food temperatures to uphold food safety standards.
    • Swiftly removes any leftover food items from the buffet line at the end of a meal session, preventing waste and maintaining the buffet's pristine appearance.
    • Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in cleaning and sanitizing the buffet food line at the end of each meal session, maintaining impeccable cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Acts as an effective communicator, facilitating smooth coordination between all key personnel, including the kitchen staff, servers, and management, to ensure seamless buffet operations and guest satisfaction.
    • Organizes and returns all equipment and supplies to designated storage areas after meal sessions, promoting an organized and clutter-free work environment.
    • Takes initiative in cleaning the work area in the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to sanitation rules to uphold food safety standards and create a safe and hygienic workspace.
    • Regularly attends menu classes, staying informed about the latest menu offerings and food preparation techniques to enhance expertise and contribute to a diverse dining experience for guests.
    • Possesses extensive knowledge of proper food handling techniques and sanitation rules, strictly adhering to these practices to maintain food quality and safety.
    • Takes ownership of breaking down the buffet at the end of each shift, ensuring all equipment and items are appropriately stored, and efficiently completes all assigned side work duties to maintain a well-prepared and tidy buffet area.
