- Lead and manage manufacturing projects from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, and execution phases.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams, to ensure alignment with project objectives
- Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and reduce production costs
- Conduct feasibility studies, process evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project prioritization
- Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing sustainable solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality management systems in all manufacturing activities
- Update status reports, present project status to customers, and work project management to ensure productive and consistent customer communication.
- Understand and adhere to all export control regulations.
- Travel locally onsite to the customer facility several days per week as needed and comply with all customer site requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 7+ year(s) of relevant experience
- Expert understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems
- Proficient in project management tools and methods; MS Project, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, ect.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding customer interfacing skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Proven experience in manufacturing project management, preferably in a regulated industry such as aerospace
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing automation technologies
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or FDA regulations
- An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
- Experience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learned
