Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer

Location: Midland, Georgia

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage manufacturing projects from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, and execution phases.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams, to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and reduce production costs
• Conduct feasibility studies, process evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project prioritization
• Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing sustainable solutions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality management systems in all manufacturing activities
• Update status reports, present project status to customers, and work project management to ensure productive and consistent customer communication.
• Understand and adhere to all export control regulations.
• Travel locally onsite to the customer facility several days per week as needed and comply with all customer site requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 7+ year(s) of relevant experience
• Expert understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems
• Proficient in project management tools and methods; MS Project, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, ect.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding customer interfacing skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in manufacturing project management, preferably in a regulated industry such as aerospace
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing automation technologies
• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or FDA regulations
• An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
• Experience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learned
