    Position Summary:

    The Maintenance Electrician provides competent and effective electrical support to Plant Operations. This position troubleshoots and repairs problems in electrical and controls wiring that occur in production equipment and systems. The Maintenance Electrician works with voltages up to 600V, three-phase and single-phase A/C circuits and motor control centers. This position runs tests, isolates problems, replaces faulty sections of wiring, lays conduit and performs other tasks as necessary. The Maintenance Electrician performs preventive maintenance and upgrades to wiring, conduit and electronic control systems.

    Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

    • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration
    • Install electrical equipment and test all connections to ensure all components are working properly and safely
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in industrial equipment and processes using experience, systems knowledge and proper instruments appropriate to the voltages and currents encountered
    • Communicate with management, engineers, mechanics, and equipment operators to advise if there are any potential electrical hazards
    • Examine jobs to be done and determine scope and best way to accomplish the work
    • Consult with requester, maintenance planner, and/or supervisor when necessary
    • Obtain one-lines, drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources
    • Make additional sketches, diagrams, etc., needed to clarify the intent of the work order
    • Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service and Cost objectives
    • Other projects or duties as assigned
