- Manage 24-hour department operations across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
- Establish and maintain patient care standards to exceed expectations of members and internal clients.
- Implement processes to enhance systems and patient care outcomes.
- Develop and monitor budgets to optimize resource utilization, financial performance, and quality improvement.
- Determine staffing requirements, oversee recruitment, training, and staff development, and manage human resource and risk management issues.
- Implement and monitor departmental policies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee care standards, fiscal management, and quality improvement efforts.
- Kaiser Permanente periodically reviews compensation for roles, with the potential for job description updates and status changes.
- Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, including management experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse License in California and Basic Life Support certification.
- *Leadership Experience requirement applies to internal Kaiser Permanente applicants only, based on specific criteria.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, strong communication skills, and potential certification requirements.
- Preference for National Certification within the first year of employment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Two (2) years of management experience.
- Experience in Magnet/shared governance and bargaining environments.
- Master's degree is a plus.
