    Role:

    Crown is building a Engineering capability to deliver and ensure quality across software products supported by Data & Digital.


    We're hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer II who has knowledge and experience in software testing with hands-on manual test execution for GUI, API, DB and/or mobile applications along with either the experience or aptitude to develop test automation.

    In the Data and Digital group, you will grow your skills in an environment that emphasizes creativity, collaboration and empowerment.

    You will work on an Agile Team with talented, diverse and dynamic professionals to plan, design, commit and deliver impactful business capabilities.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
    • Work closely with Product, Dev and fellow QAs to confirm acceptance criteria/requirements and technical designs are fully defined to meet business needs, technical considerations and establish clear pass/fail criteria.
    • Execute test strategies/test plans & test cases (both manual and automated), complete requirement/defect to test case traceability matrices (including ensuring 100% coverage of all testable requirements), represent the quality engineering practice in agile ceremonies and serve as an ambassador for quality within assigned Agile Team as well as the greater organization.
    • Assist in the design and implementation or rollout of automated test frameworks and solutions.
    • Maintain test environment, code deployment and data integrity to ensure accurate foundations for testing activities.

    Education/Certifications:

    • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

    Experience/Minimum Requirements:
    * 3+ years hands on experience in developing both manual and automated tests
    • Experience writing test scenarios & test cases, participating in estimation of test efforts, exposure to developing automated test scripts, authoring test documentation and defining test data needs.
    • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through execution
    • Experience in communicating with business users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
    • Knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
    • Understanding of QA methodologies
    • Hands on experience with functional, integration, system & E2E testing, API testing, database validation and / or mobile applications testing
    • Quality mentality and thinking outside the box, ability to envision multi-product relationships
    • Experience using a backlog management tool, such as Azure Dev Ops or JIRA

    Working Conditions:

    This is a remote role with the expectation of on-site/in-person collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter and may require up to 20% travel.


    For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents the hiring range offered for this position is $70,500 - $101,300 annually.

    In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 20% of annual salary and restricted stock.
