Description
An employer is seeking an Avionics Engineer, Senior to sit at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH.The Engineer will NOT be hands on directly with any of the avionics systems but will be working directly with the engineers that are to ensure best practices.
This person needs to have a strong knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground-based systems.
He/she will review/develop/update applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues and will also participate in and assist in the planning of systems engineering risk assessments by establishing a risk management review, coordinating action item status, and updating risk management metrics.
The role will support the program office Airworthiness Certification Working Group (ACWG) by supporting, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Modification Airworthiness Criteria Certification (MACC) compliance package and conducting an airworthiness risk assessment.
