    School Registered Nurse (RN) - Glendale, AZ

    As a School Nurse in our organization, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of a student by providing essential medical care and support. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in nursing but also adaptable, empathetic, and willing to meet the diverse needs of the student you will be supporting.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing
    • Must have active Arizona RN License or Compact License
    • Must be CPR and BLS certified
    • Previous experience in pediatrics or schools preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide one-on-one support to a student with medical needs, including seizure management, g-tube feedings, medication administrations, and toileting assistance.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times, providing direct supervision and nursing support during transportation to and from school.
    • Collaborate with the student's healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and caregivers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    • Monitor the student's health status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies, providing appropriate medical interventions as needed.
    • Educate school staff, students, and families about the student's medical condition and necessary care procedures to promote understanding and support within the school community.
    • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing school nursing practice, as well as state and federal laws related to student transportation and medical care.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documenting all nursing interventions, assessments, and comunications related to the student's care.
