    RN Position Job Notes:

    Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

    Job Details:


    • Must have Level 1 ED charge nurse experience

    • Work in 101-bed emergency department

    • Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds

    • Required to work every other weekend with scheduling that meets department needs

    • Must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED (no floating outside of ED)

    • Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system

    • Navy scrubs required

    • Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS

    • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire

    • Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting

    • Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume ED with >100,000 visits preferred

    • Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time

    • Follow AIDET protocols, maintain respectful behavior, and ensure positive patient experience

    • Keep patient boards updated with information and communicate with patients throughout their visit

    • Work with available techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas
