Our client is an industry leading consumer-based company and they are looking for a
Sr. Accountant ,
SEC Reporting
to join their team. This will be a hybrid position based out of their
Rochester, NY
office .
Salary falls in the $85-100k range with flexibility at the top for the right background.

Who We're Looking For:
You will bring a CPA and an excellent background in accounting that focuses on SEC reporting.
You'll have experience in 10-K, 10-Q, 401K and SOX compliance, as well as coordinate with the external audit team to facilitate the audit process.
Other responsibilities include assisting with research and analysis, writing memorandums and providing the financial aspects of leasing, general accounting and acquisitions.
Reporting to the Director of Technical Accounting and External Reporting, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and Investor Relations.
What to Expect as aSenior Accountant:
Prepare and coordinate financial filings, including the annual Form 10-K, 401K and pension plan reporting, and quarterly Form 10-Q reporting
Coordinate with external auditors in all aspects of their auditing and reporting of external reporting
Compliance with all aspects of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls with respect to external reporting requirements
Assist with research and analysis and writing related memorandums
Provide assistance with financial accounting aspects of leasing, general accounting and acquisitions
Qualifications for Success:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
2-5 years progressive accounting experience, including preparation of SEC filings
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Excellent attention to detail, with ability to multi-task and prioritize
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Strong Analytical skills to interpret and question data and other inputs
Ability to coordinate data collection efforts across multiple departments
Works well independently and within a team environment
