- Manage front desk operations, acting as the first point of contact for employees, tenants, guests, and vendors.
- Ensure proper security measures are maintained during business hours by following established visitor registration procedures.
- Manage UPS WorldShip account for the company.
- Maintain proper inventory of office supplies, kitchen supplies, and storage rooms.
- Maintain weekly recycling schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Organize and set up conference rooms for meetings and events.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- You must be a citizen of the United States, have or be eligible for security clearance, and be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 unless legally exempt.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior customer service experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently, problem-solve and have strong organizational skills.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs at times.
- Must be able to move up to 100 lbs rolling event cases.
- Must be able to bend, lift or climb a ladder to maintain building.

Job Purpose:
The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) is currently seeking a Facilities Assistant for its Ann Arbor office. NCMS is the nation's leading technology consortium that accelerates the development and adoption of cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities to drive American competitiveness.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily facility operations and assisting the Director of Facilities with a variety of activities including greeting building guests, set up/tear down of events, facility walk throughs, mail/package organization and other projects as assigned.
