    ROLE:

    The Quality Engineer I will be responsible for working with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure that our organization meets the requirements of AS9100.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to ensure awareness and understanding of AS9100 requirementsAccomplish audits of internal and external process controlAssist in identifying root causes of a problem and instituting corrective actionAssist the Quality Manager to ensure compliance to AS9100Interact with customer and supplier representatives on quality mattersAssist in Purchase Order review and customer communication with delivery statusRevised certs when needed by receiving inspectionImplement and sustain defect prevention methodologies such as Process Flow, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Control Plan implementation.

    Use statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to identify and prevent defects in the manufacturing process.
    Analyze process data and identify trends to proactively address potential quality issues.
    Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation to address quality issues.
    Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.


    RequirementsEDUCATION:
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required

    EXPERIENCE:
    1-2 years of experience in a quality-related role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
    Knowledge of AS9100 and other relevant quality standards.
    Understanding of quality management systems and process improvement methodologies.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:

    Language:
    English, Spanish is a plus.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.


    Computer Skills:
    MS Office, Minitab, TIPQA is a plus

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.


    Reasoning Abilities:
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    Interpersonal Skills:
