    The Computer Desktop Support Technician will perform activities related to installing new laptops, desktop computers, and printers.

    The Technician will provide technical knowledge and expertise of Windows operating systems, and software installations while providing excellent customer service when replacing assets for users.

    The Technician will work with the on-site manager, who will provide a list of responsibilities/tasks on a week-to-week basis. This is a fully trainable position. Computer knowledge is required.


    Job Responsibilities :

    Migrate, repair, install, test, maintain, and upgrade computers, and network operating systems softwareInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and software applications.
    Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
    Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
    Implement and enforce network security measures.
    Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
    Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and user-reported problems.
    Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
    Test and verify backups regularly.
    Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
    Perform regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
    Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.
    Ensure that systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
    Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.
    Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as needed.
    Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades.

    Qualifications:
    QualificationsMust be a US Citizen.

    Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a T3 secret clearance (w illing to sponsor the right candidate).IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).One (1+) year or more of directly related experience in systems administration or a similar role.

    Experience with network installations and upgrades.
    Basic troubleshooting of printers, copiers, fax machines, and all-in-one units knowledge.
    Knowledge of Microsoft servers.
    Knowledge/experience with basic network toolsets.
    Computing environment certification in VMware (VCP-DCV) or Cisco (CCNP-DC) within 60 days of hire.


    Preferred:
    Possess an active T3 security clearance.
    AA/AS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
    Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) servers experience.
    Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
    Team leader seeking growth into supervisory responsibility/experience.
    Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
    Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
