    (GZA) is currently seeking an Entry-Level Instrumentation (Internet of Things (IoT)) Engineer to join our team in the Western U.S .The successful candidate must have a solid educational background and be self-motivated with a professional attitude.

    As an entry-level Instrumentation (IoT) Engineer, you will work on a fast-paced team of Scientists, Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals.

    This position offers an opportunity to join a successful instrumentation practice in an established engineering practice.

    The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the sensor installations, data acquisition and visualization, management, reporting, and monitoring of various geotechnical and structural instrumentation.

    Instrumentation is employed on a variety of projects, from urban residential and commercial development to large heavy civil infrastructure projects such as Dams, Bridges, and/or Tunnels.

    Between field work projects, you will work in a professional office setting, preparing detailed and accurate field documentation, data analyses, technical reporting, and implementing new monitoring, instrumentation, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies within the infrastructure space.


    Primary Responsibilities:
    Performing field tasks such as instrumentation installations and monitoring.
    Evaluating field data and performing engineering analyses/calculations.
    Acquiring, assembling, and testing monitoring systems.
    Writing drafts of field and engineering reports, proposals, and other technical documents.
    Communicating effectively and efficiently with contractors, clients, and team members.


    Typical Duties May Include:
    Installation and monitoring instrumentation in connection with building, transportation, water resources, and mining projects.
    Performing technical monitoring/analysis and calculations.
    Conducting technical analyses/calculations.
    Construction observation to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
    Reviewing technical specifications and related documents for bidding opportunities.
    Developing project and monitoring plans.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geological, Survey, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus).1+ years of relevant work experience is preferred.

    Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities.
    Ability and desire to work 'hands on'.Ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team setting.
    Effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
    Ability to travel locally and regionally.
    Ability to safely work using hand tools.
    A valid driver's license in good standing.
    Ability to work outdoors during all seasons.

    The base salary range for this position is $64,000 - $86,000 depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
