    The Installation Technician is responsible to install and assist in all phases of installing, testing and troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites.

    To that end, the Installation Technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation.

    The Installation Technician ensures that Kastle system installation and change orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.

    Responsibilities


    • Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems accurately and on time following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
    • Pulling cable, rough in/patch in, bending conduit, terminate.
    • Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate to supervisor.
    • Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.
    Qualifications


    • 1 or more years' experience installing: commercial access control, video systems, low voltage and commercial wiring/cabling OR
    • Professional construction experience installing: door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices
    • Knowledge of building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
    • High School diploma/GED preferred
    • Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
    • Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital volt meters
    • Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocol and Cat5 technologies preferred
