    Description
    Our center is looking for a Floating Teacher / Closer to join our teaching team.
    Some responsibilities are:
    • Lesson plan implementation.
    • Use of positive guidance techniques.
    • Building and maintaining positive parent/teacher relationships.
    • Collaborating with other teaching staff to evaluate, observe and develop each child's abilities.
    • Create a caring community where families feel welcome.

    This Dual Role position is an ideal fit for the applicant who embraces variety. The Floating Teacher portion of the day will have a flexible and variable schedule, working with children of all ages. The Closer portion of the day will work afternoons in conjunction with the Management Team, ensuring smooth operations center-wide for families and staff. The duties of this position may include a wide range and diverse set of tasks, as determined by the needs of the school. Examples include:
    • Communicating with families at the end of the day, in person and on the phone.
    • Coordinating end-of-day routines for classrooms and staff.
    • Overseeing afternoon snacks.
    • Center end-of-day routines (run the dishwasher, laundry, etc.) (NOTE: there is a janitorial service after hours for center-wide cleaning.)

    Minimum Teacher education requirements:
    • Completion of two courses in Early Childhood Education, OR
    • Equivalent college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education, OR
    • Be willing to complete these courses within your first 6 months of employment.
    Additional post-employment coursework may be required to work for certain positions.

    • Monday to Friday, no weekends.
