Position Overview

Successful candidates will have desire to learn engineering in the design of fire protection systems for aviation, industrial, campus and other type facilities.

The position will require working on teams for designs of various projects.

Qualified candidates should possess a BS in Fire Protection Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree with 0-2 years related experience, with a focus on fire protection or life safety systems.

Candidate will be encouraged to pass the FE Exam.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree with a minimum of 2-5 years related experience
Knowledge of the NFPA Codes and Standards
Knowledge of ICC (building/fire) Codes
Fire/life safety consulting experience including in fire alarm, water-based fire suppression, non-water based fire suppression, and smoke control systems.
Revit and AutoCAD program experience.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficiency in oral and written communications with the ability to generate high-quality work.
Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a collaborate group environment.
Procore software experience.
Bluebeam software experience.
Hydraulic calculation software (HASS, SprinkCAD, etc. HydroCAD) experience.
Fire modeling software (CFAST, FDS and/or Smokeview) experience.
