    What You Need:

    • BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Health, or related field
    • 5+ years of environmental management experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
    • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
    • ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    What Your Role Will Look Like:

    The Environmental Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies. As such, must be able to read, interpret, and apply said materials and have a working knowledge of principles, theories, and practices of environmental management.

    • Develop and maintain training materials and conduct all required training for the environmental management program.
    • Manage the Storm Water program and ensure all audits, testing, documentation, and reporting are completed as required.
    • Manage RCRA compliance including hazardous waste, solid waste, universal waste, non- hazardous waste disposal and recycling operations. Coordinate and conduct audits with waste contractors to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
    • Manage air program including coordinating with consultant for operating and construction permit applications as well as, performing site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance will all applicable regulations.
    • Manage the spill response program to ensure that plant personnel are aware of the Spill Prevention Counter Measures and Control Program (SPCC) and what their responsibilities are within the program.
    • Participate in PSM/RMP compliance program and the development of SDSs for products as part of the scale up process.
    • Complete and submit all reports/forms required by Local, State, and Federal authorities. These reports include but are not limited to EPCRA TRI and Tier II reporting, TSCA CDR reporting, and Air monitoring and reporting for HAP & VOC, fuel consumption, point source emission inventory.
    • Function as the primary contact for all local, state, and federal regulators and inspectors.
    • Attend and participate in meetings with local and regional environmental organizations meetings / conferences including federal, state, and local regulatory organizations such as EPA, SC-DHEC, CAER, CAPCA, Chamber of Commerce, LEPC, DCFD, and SCMA.
    • Respond to internal issues to determine compliance status and recommend appropriate action including releases, spills, process upsets, employee concerns, and projects.
    • Supervise job environmental processes and address potential violations and concerns.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of permits, inspections, and compliance activities.
    • Support other EHSS activities and responsibilities as required.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
