• Their office is closed the week of Fourth of July and the week between Christmas and New Years

• Sourcing and researching new suppliers
  
• Prepare inventory reports, analyze inventory levels for replenishment
• Manage vendor relationships
• Negotiate and set up contracts with new vendors
• Reconcile backorders with the manufacturers.
  
• Acquire all product specifications either from the manufacturer or through product review.
  
• Update and enter product information in the computer system. Research product discrepancies and update the Buyers.
  
• Building 3 month rolling forecast for inventory planning
• Enter spiffs and promotions in the system for tracking purposes and prepare documentation for vendor reimbursement.
  
• Work with the marketing department to ensure product information/spreadsheets for printed media and online events are compiled in a timely manner and prices are updated in our system. Attend trade shows, visit manufacturer facilities, and attend company shows as required.

• Bachelor's degree in business or related major.
  
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical ability.
  
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and vendors.
  
• Proficiency in Word and Excel, which requires a detailed understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
