We are located along the Central Coast of beautiful Monterey County California. We serve the communities of Aromas, Castroville, Elkhorn, Moss Landing, Prunedale, Royal Oaks, and portions of Salinas. Our District provides educational programs and services for our community from infant to adult which includes our Castro Plaza Family Resource Center and Family Services Center. Our early learning programs support children ages zero to 4 years of age, four elementary schools each serve preschool/TK/K-6th grade (Castroville, Echo Valley, Elkhorn and Prunedale Elementary Schools), our North Monterey County Middle School serves 7/8th grade, our North Monterey County High School serves 9-12th grade, and our Educational Options includes Central Bay Continuation High School (16 years+), a fully accredited TK-12 North Monterey County Center for Independent Studies/Homeschooling/Distance Learning school. We also have a full offering of Career Technical Education pathways for our students and Adult Education programs for our community members and parents.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Transportation, drive a school bus to transport students safely and efficiently to an assigned location on a designated route; perform mechanical checks, regular safety inspections and general maintenance duties.
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates must possess and submit the following:
1) Proof of a HS diploma or equivalent; and
2) Class A or B California Commercial Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement; and
3) Valid First Aid Certificate or endorsement by the CHP
Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI, online trainings and proof of being cleared of Tuberculosis and online trainings are required prior to starting employment. Substitutes are considered on-call/as needed. All classified substitutes shall be paid at step 1 or A1 as indicated on the salary schedule for the assignment they are subbing in.
