    Description
    Job Title: Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Consultant
    Location- New York NY
    Duration - 12 months
    Type: Contract
    Description:
    • The personnel will assist in triaging, documenting, and investigating EEO complaints and reviewing reasonable accommodation requests. Additionally, they will support the preparation of reports and compliance documentation.
    • While the personnel will not have full autonomy over case resolution, it is expected they will contribute substantially to the investigative and review processes under the supervision of full-time EEO staff.
    • The Consultant shall provide descriptive material and company history for the bidder demonstrating a minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting investigations, experience in EEO investigations or reviewing reasonable accommodation requests preferred, for the Consultant and its personnel, performing Work similar in scope and magnitude as that described in this Scope of Services.
    • Bachelor's degree (required); advanced degree preferred for its personnel, including proposed Subcontractors, if any, for this Contract.
    Demonstrated ability in:
    • Investigative and analytical writing
    • Handling confidential information with discretion
    • Interpersonal and communication skills
    Familiarity with anti-discrimination laws, e.g. Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), New York State Human Rights Law (SHRL), New York City Human Rights Law (CHRL), etc., and Equal Employment Opportunity Policies.
    • Use of case management systems and Microsoft Office tools
    • The Consultant will provide temporary staff augmentation to support the EEO Office in managing its internal complaint investigations and reasonable accommodations program. There is a significant backlog of cases, and this Work will ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. The Work will be performed under the supervision of DEP's EEO Officer/Project Manager.
