    Cash Application Responsibilities


    The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management of payment applications to customer accounts and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

    • Key and post batches, denials, and adjustments within a 2-business-day timeframe.
    • Meet productivity standards for keyed payments and denials based on assigned payer scales.
    • Achieve a 95% or greater accuracy rate on transactions keyed, as verified through quarterly audits.
    • Ensure batch cover sheet totals balance with EMR and vendor account postings, with minimal variance.
    • Clear unapplied cash/ACH - No Patient transactions within 60 days of initial posting, collaborating with AR Teams and payer contacts.
    • Identify trends or patterns in daily work activities, proposing improvements to system or process efficiencies.
    • Participate in team activities, including mentoring and training with colleagues.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Level I: One year of work experience in healthcare administration, finance, or customer service, claims, billing, call centers, or management.
    • Level II: One year of work experience and one year of exact job experience.
    • At least two years of experience in a Medicare-certified Home Health/Hospice environment with routine insurance billing.
    • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Ability to learn new technologies.
