    We are currently seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team on a PRN basis at a small hospital in Southeast Colorado.

    This position offers an opportunity to work in a critical healthcare setting, providing essential pharmaceutical services to patients in need.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications to inpatient populations within a small hospital setting.
    2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review medication orders and ensure appropriateness of therapy.
    3. Utilize the CPSI pharmacy information system for prescription processing and medication management.
    4. Provide clinical support and guidance to healthcare team members regarding medication use, dosing, and interactions.
    5. Perform medication reconciliation and participate in patient counseling as needed.
    6. Maintain proper documentation of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
    7. Monitor medication therapy outcomes and adverse drug reactions, reporting findings as necessary.
    8. Assist in inventory management and procurement of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
    9. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
    10. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department and hospital.


    Requirements:

    • Active Colorado pharmacist license in good standing.
    • Minimum of one year of experience working as a pharmacist, preferably in an inpatient or hospital setting.
    • Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
    • Proficiency in pharmacy information systems, preferably CPSI or similar software.
    • Flexibility to work on a PRN/PT basis as needed.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Holds a valid CO pharmacist license.
    • Demonstrates at least one year of relevant experience.
    • Exhibits a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
