    Job Title: Product Designer (Design & Code)

    PlatoHQ is on a mission to build the largest community for Engineering Leaders. We are a team that ships fast and frequently, leveraging a lot of AI to build a platform that enhances connections, enables one-on-one mentorship, peer group mentorship, course creation, and content generation. We are a lean team in pursuit of refining our product-market fit.

    About the Role:

    We're looking for a Product Designer who can not only design but also code. This is a hands-on role with a lot of autonomy, reporting directly to the CEO. The person in this role will be making crucial front-end and design decisions.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Participate in product ideation and conceptual development.
    2. Create visual designs for web and mobile applications.
    3. Implement these designs into our Next.JS / TRPC stack using Typescript and Chakra UI.
    4. Work collaboratively with our engineering team to ensure effective execution of designs.
    5. Utilize and contribute to our design system.
    6. Make strategic and data-driven decisions relating to design and user experience.

    Required Skills:

    1. Strong understanding of product development process.
    2. Proficient in Typescript and experience with Next.JS / TRPC.
    3. Knowledge of Chakra UI or similar libraries.
    4. Proven ability to create designs (UI/UX) that can be implemented into code.
    5. Excellent collaboration skills.
    6. Founder mindset - ability to be hands-on, proactive, and work autonomously.
    7. Strong visual design sense and ability to conceptualize and communicate complex design concepts.
