    Job Summary:
    As the head of the healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care following established standards of care and procedures. You should show excellence in your work habits, treat everyone with respect, and remain adaptable to changes within the system.
    Essential Responsibilities:

    The Registered Nurse should demonstrate leadership by:

    • Adhering to Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures.
    • Being a team leader, delegating tasks appropriately, and being accountable.
    • Understanding and escalating issues within the scope of practice.
    • Showing professional behavior, championing new ideas, and leading through change.
    • Communicating effectively and participating in identifying and solving problems.
    • Mentoring and coaching team members.

    Nursing Process:

    • Developing individualized care plans based on assessment.
    • Ensuring multidisciplinary planning and education.
    • Discussing plans with patients and family members in a timely manner.
    • Monitoring patient progress and revising plans as needed.
    • Ensuring patient safety, optimal pain control, and understanding of medication.

    Documentation:

    • Ensuring accurate and timely charting.
    • Using computer systems efficiently for patient care.

    Clinical Outcomes:

    • Discussing patient progress with the healthcare team.
    • Making nursing decisions based on data and patient outcomes.
    • Participating in performance improvement activities.

    Workplace Safety:

    • Adhering to safety principles and maintaining a safe environment.

    Patient Care Experience:

    • Practicing customer service standards and ensuring patient confidentiality.
    • Providing an optimal patient care experience by listening to needs and exceeding expectations.

    Fiscal Responsibility:

    • Organizing work efficiently and maximizing resources.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Experience:

    - One year recent full-time equivalent experience in Critical Care within the last 3 years.

    License, Certification, Registration:

    - California Registered Nurse License.

    - Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.

    Notes:

    - If 12-hour shifts are chosen, the schedule will be from 8:00 pm to 8:30 am.

    - Required to float.
