for Veterans and separating service members in Redding, CA.
This is a highly impactful
charting and investigative position

you will not be responsible for treatment or ongoing patient care.
What You Will Do (Focus on Assessment)
Your expertise will be crucial in documenting accurate claims:
- Comprehensive Assessment:
Perform Disability Questionnaires (DBQs) and Separation Health Assessment (SHAs) through thorough physical examinations and in-depth health histories. - Medical Opinion:
Diagnose and provide objective medical opinions based on physical exams to support VA disability claims. - Records Review:
Conduct a complete review of medical records via a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR). - Efficient Documentation:
Ensure charts are submitted through the online portal within a 24-hour window.
Exams are detailed and focused, ranging from 1.5–3 hours per Veteran, depending on the number of conditions claimed.
Qualifications & Schedule
- Licensure:
Active NP or PA license in California. - Certification:
Certified by a national credentialing body (NP or PA). - Schedule:
Consistent
Three Days Per Week
(Days are fixed, M-F). - Compliance:
Willingness to work under physician supervision, following established protocols (required in this Restricted State).
