Established in 1974, Shenandoah Veterinary Hospital has been proudly serving the needs of our community's pets for over 35 years.

We have a team of experienced veterinary professionals who provide high-quality care for our patients. Each staff member brings their expertise in various companion animal topics, from technical surgical procedures to training and behavioral problems in pets of all ages.

Our goal is to deliver exceptional care and service to our patients and clients. We offer preventative care, diagnostic services, soft-tissue surgeries, laser therapy, dentistry, in-house pharmacy, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Animal restraint and triage of incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging and management of medical cases
• Administration of medications and effective communication with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance, as well as anesthetic management

Qualifications:

• Registered veterinary technician with 1+ year experience preferred but not required
• High work ethic and positive attitude team member
• Able to arrive on-time and ready to work
• Saturday availability (we are closed on Sundays)
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
• Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
• Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
• Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
• Proficient in sample collection, including blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
• Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
• Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs (dental radiographs are a plus)
• Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
• A self-starter with a desire to continue advancing knowledge and skillset
• Able to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner to maintain hospital efficiency
