- Guide patients in completing mammography questionnaires and provide necessary education materials. Manage procedure paperwork efficiently.
- Assist in ancillary mammography functions such as obtaining outside films for comparison and follow-up processes.
- Support procedures involving wire placements, biopsies, and specimen transport.
- Handle billing for procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Obtain, identify, and transfer mammography images through the PACS network.
- Develop mammographic film and ensure proper matching with paperwork for interpretation.
- Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality and perform additional imaging as required.
- Operate mammographic radiographic equipment and other devices, position patients, and assist physicians.
- Prepare medical supplies using appropriate techniques, explain procedures to patients, and ensure equipment maintenance.
- License/Certification Requirement
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience
- Accurate billing of procedures and supplies
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to work well in a team and establish relationships with diverse groups
- Proficiency in mammography positioning and imaging techniques
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to ultrasound procedures
- Familiarity with imaging equipment and safety procedures
- CRT and
