    Do you have a passion for driving interior design solutions for clients? Do you love working with Revit? Do you have knowledge of local building codes? Are you truly passionate about design and ready to take your creativity to the next level?

    The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of planning and design of Life Science, Biopharma and corporate clients. Digital and technical skills are imperative. You will be working as an integrated team with lab planners, and engineers to design facilities to specific client needs and goals.

    What You'll Do:

    • Lead exciting projects - varying in size from large to small
    • Responsible for planning, programming, and the development of all types of laboratories.
    • Working in close partnership with our clients, providing support and whatever is needed to assist the Client's internal team Collaborate with your Design Principal and all members of the Unispace team to ensure that our powerful methodology is delivered throughout the entire project life cycle
    • Provide technical skills as part of an integrated team for building design, construction documents, including code expertise.
    • Oversees the construction administration of the laboratory spaces and associated systems
    • Applies proper QA/QC methods throughout project
    • Communicate with clients, other designers, consultants, technical and construction teams to ensure that we wow our clients
    • Leads in the design development, modification and/or review of laboratory planning concepts and solutionsCreate and deliver presentations that wow our clients
    • Translates planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, designers and project team members
    • Contribute to our culture of equality, creativity and innovation; think outside the box

    The Experience, Skills and Knowledge You Bring:

    • 7+ years of science/lab planning experience, ideally focused on high-profile Life Science/Pharma projects
    • Proven ability to produce outstanding lab standards and guidelines
    • Track record of leading high performing design teams for: Life Science, Corporate and commercial projects
    • Advanced knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements for laboratory design
    • Advanced knowledge of laboratory programming delivery and how design impacts those systems –including space, operational, and equipment programming, as well as MEP systems and casework
    • Delivery and development of relevant and captivating design solutions
    • Experience in the development of construction documentation
    • Proficiency in the use of design tools, including Revit, CAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel
    • Strong presentation skills – both written and verbal
    • Demonstrated success in pitching high profile clients
    • Experience in designing large corporate campuses is a plus
