    AWS Cloud Engineer

    The Opportunity:

    Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you'll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you to help support national security.

    You'll closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You'll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal AWS labs, you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client's problems, and you'll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you'll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.     You Have:

    • 5+ years of experience with designing, developing, deploying, or testing in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Experience managing networking within AWS, including security groups, NACLs, and VPCs
    • Experience in working with containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage, including ECS or Kubernetes
    • Experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux containers in the Cloud
    • Experience with IaC, including Terraform or CloudFormation
    • Experience using AWS CLI to manage AWS accounts and services
    • Secret clearance
    • Bachelor's degree

    Nice If You Have:

    • Experience with developing CI /CD pipelines
    • Experience with writing scripts that connect services, functionalities, and tools using te chnologies including Python scripting, Bash, Boto3 or PowerShell
    • Experience with Serverless, including Lambda, API Gateway, and SAM
    • Experience with securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers
    • Experience with application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions using methods, including clustering or failover
    • Experience with an Agile release methodology
    • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Certification

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
