    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Job Title: Players Club Clerk

    Department: Marketing

    Reports to: Player Development Manager

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. The Players Club Clerk is responsible for providing casino players with player tracking cards and all benefits and perks of the Players Club membership. They are also responsible for answering and handling incoming calls. The position is responsible for learning and communicating the various policies and procedures required of the Marketing Department.

    ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
    2. Responsible for following all cashiering policy and procedures as they relate to the operation of the retail shop.
    3. Issues player cards for new and existing accounts and issues any benefits and marketing related perks from those player card accounts.
    4. Evaluates customer's play for comping needs.
    5. Provides customers with in-depth marketing/casino related information and answers questions about that information.
    6. Prompt, courteous handling of all incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
    7. Completes all assigned duties, paperwork, and reports in a timely manner.
    8. Reviews and monitors all current policies and procedures. Assures high standards of guest service by maintaining constant awareness for the entire property and assistance of all promotions, events and entertainment and Players Club membership benefits.
    9. Provides feedback to the Manager of Player Development regarding status and concerns of VIP players.
    10. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
    11. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
    • Must be able to reach above the head and hold up to 5lbs.
    Mental Demands:
    • Must be able to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard and telephone.
    • Must be able to multi-task.
    • Must be able to read, write and understand complex instructions and communicate them to subordinates in a way that can be easily interpreted.
    • Must be able to complete tasks in an interruptive environment under time pressures.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees.
    Work Environment:
    • Must be able to work in a smoking environment with loud noise.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience/Education:
    • Prefer a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Prefer previous customer service skills.
    Knowledge:
    • Must be able to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
    • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
    • Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Must be able to maintain organization, meet deadlines, possesses integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
    Other:
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.
    • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
    • Must complete all required company training.
