Summary: Seeking a Mechatronics Engineer with a strong electro-mechanical background and expertise in Siemens PLCs for project-based work, including system integration and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

BS Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering highly preferred; relevant experience may substitute for degree
Minimum 5 years of mechatronics engineering experience
Expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and modifying Siemens S7 PLC and TIA Portal HMI
Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting with a focus on pneumatics and hydraulics
Experience designing electrical and mechanical systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks

Preferred Skills:

Prior leadership experience in managing small teams or projects

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teams to define system requirements and specifications
Program, test, debug, and modify Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal HMIs
Conduct hardware/software testing and debugging
Perform system integration and verification tasks
Create detailed documentation for design specifications, test plans, and reports
Coordinate with suppliers for component availability
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns related to manufacturing equipment
Design electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic prints based on operational sequences
Improve existing mechanical/electrical/controls systems ensuring safety compliance (NFPA79, UL508)
Provide accurate Bill of Materials for designs; document customer deviations as required
Support manufacturing during startup/integration phases
Generate machine lockout placards according to end-user specs and best practices

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
