DescriptionIntroduction to the Role and Practice:
Centra is actively seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist for our growing team. The Heart and Vascular Institute is part of Centra, a nationally recognized Virginia healthcare system encompassing four hospitals, regional medical centers, and more than 60 primary care/specialty practices. CMG includes family practices, specialists, and surgeons in fields such as cardiology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, urology, and more.CMG is also home to the Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency, a training program for future family physicians, many of whom hold academic appointments with institutions like UVA, VCU, VCOM, and Liberty University.

Responsibilities- Call-1:7 (every 7th weekend & 1 weeknight per month)
- Large, physician-lead, nationally recognized group of ambitious, board-certified cardiologists
- Support from a team of 15 APPs (advanced practice providers)
- Hospital integrated Clinical research team within practice
- Physician leadership roles within practice
- Cardiovascular specific physician liaison and a market share analyzer to establish new referrals and manage, track, and report growth opportunities
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in Cardiology.
- MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
