    Summary

    The Resident Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the property, including maintenance and upkeep, administrative tasks, and resident relations. Strong leadership skills and an understanding of diverse populations are essential for this role.

    This position involves independent judgment and discretion in managing the property, prioritizing tasks, and supervising staff to ensure a safe and well-managed living environment for residents.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Interview potential residents to assess eligibility and adherence to regulations.
    • Coordinate resident community meetings and activities, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.
    • Manage rent collection, late notices, and compliance with regulatory procedures.
    • Oversee maintenance of property management software systems and ensure accurate reporting.
    • Supervise maintenance and office staff, as well as contractors and vendors.
    • Conduct annual unit inspections and address non-compliance issues.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and vendors, promoting a positive living experience.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective resident management and staff supervision.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Able to work independently, manage staff, and make informed decisions.
    • Valid driver's license and required insurance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certification in Residential Apartment Management.
    • Experience with HUD, HOME, State affordable housing programs, and tax credit management.
    • Familiarity with property maintenance and physical maintenance requirements.
    • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to ambulate 1000 feet without difficulty over varied terrain.
    • Able to lift 25 pounds from a standing position.
