    Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America. This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations.

    We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications.

    Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.

    Purpose


    This position provides Engineering leadership and design support for the control parts of the transformer that emphasizes safety, quality, customer satisfaction, accuracy, productivity, cost reduction, housekeeping, efficiency, training, teamwork, and morale.

    Responsibilities & Duties

    Analyze project documentation such as purchase orders, customer specifications and bid proposals for design execution.
    Prepare the schematic, wiring diagrams and cabinet layout drawings for customer approval and/or production.
    Participate in any cross-functional activities such as customer meetings, team meetings, and project review.
    Inspect manufactured cabinets for quality and workmanship issues and provide assistance to manufacturing on troubleshooting controls related issues.
    Research and analyze new products and trends in the market to apply them into new designs.
    Perform tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Controls Group Supervisor.

    Education & Experience

    Two year A.S. related to Electrical Engineering or a four-year B.S. in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

    Five years of combined power transformer controls experience and degree with a minimum of three years of experience related to power transformer control design.

    Experience with AutoCAD Vanilla for drafting.
    Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
