Position Summary:
The Medical Physics group at McLaren cancer center is responsible for machine quality assurance, patient quality assurance, treatment planning, clinical support, and radiation safety, in addition to other facility supportive responsibilities.
The cancer center in Flint is equipped with 2 Varian Linear accelerators, an HDR unit, and a proton therapy machine.
The Medical Physicist Assistant (MPA) is a critical and important component of the physics group. The MPA works alongside the Medical Physicists in support of the cancer center. The MPA primarily performs measurements and data analyses, creates supporting documentation, and engages in quality assurance.Required:
Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, or applied science
