    On the Engineering team you'll join a group of engineers, product professionals, analysts, and UX/UI designers that build the applications and systems that make travel happen.

    We power every step of our customer's journey – from the e-commerce experience on the web, to creating personalized itineraries, to enhancing the travel experience through our mobile app.

    What You'll Do


    As the Engineering Manager for the Sales Enablement team, you will handle building and supporting the systems that power our sales and service teams.


    In this role you will:
    Work with engineering leadership and your team to develop team goals aligned with business priorities
    Develop knowledgeable software engineers delivering value to our Salesforce platform
    Collaborate closely within business stakeholders and other engineering teams to streamline processes and integrate Salesforce with related systems
    Leverage Salesforce programming languages and frameworks (such as Apex, Visualforce Page, Aura, Lightning Web Components, and Sales Cloud products) to deliver strategic sales solutions
    Learn about the seasonality, composition, and customer segments of our travel products to inform our approach to our Salesforce platform

    Who You Are

    You have 5+ years of related professional work experience in the Salesforce ecosystem
    You 1+ years of experience managing a high performing team
    You are passionate about team building and collaboration across distinct functions of the business
    You have a strong aptitude for – and desire to – learn modern technologies, give and receive feedback, and grow outside your comfort zone
    You are willing to travel occasionally for collaboration with other business leaders and the broader engineering team

    What you'll be doing on the World Journeys team

    Your first week you will...

    Onboard as an EF employee and World Journeys team member, and finish some paperwork
    Meet with your manager, the director of engineering, to get your accounts set up, to get your recurring meetings scheduled, and to be introduced to some relationships you'll need to be successful
    Meet and begin forging strategic partnerships with other engineering leaders
    Meet your tech lead, your product manager, and the rest of your team, join team meetings, explore our code, and learn about current team processes

    Your first month you will...

    Acquaint yourself with team processes, technical standards, and how we measure success
    Partner with your tech lead and product manager to guide the team's development process and the trajectory of upcoming work
    Have met with key partners across other departments and throughout the business
    Learn about our travel products and the business context of our projects
    Begin discussing and shaping your professional development plan with your managerBegin discussing and shaping the professional development plan of your direct reports

    Your first three months you will...

    Help define team goals to realize business opportunities, contribute to the strategy for achieving those goals, and seek improvements to the developer experience
    Augment and evangelize expectations for software quality and Salesforce best practices, and improve the integration of those practices in development and release processes
    Iterate with product management and business stakeholders on digital strategies that will better empower our sales and service teams
    Meet with your manager to reflect on progress and sustain professional development
    Meet with your direct reports to reflect on progress and sustain professional development
