Job summary

The Lead Residential Counselor provides direct support to people with behavioral conditions as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement.

He or she works together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by either building independence skills or increasing each person's quality of life.,

Assists in developing implementing and documenting treatment including ISP/IPs and clinical programs.
This includes rehabilitative interventions behavioral interventions and monitoring fire & safety regulations appointment scheduling money management ADLs grocery shopping meal planning cooking household chores and other related areas.
Performs hands-on tasks in the program as required in order to facilitate implementation of support plans.
Assists individuals in becoming fully integrated into their communities assists residents with community-based support resource services plans recreational social activities to promote emotional well-being persons served improve quality of life this includes holiday birthday parties celebrations outings community travel church activities decorating shopping more-related-activities provides transportation necessary assesses residents physical emotional status report changes supervisor monitor funds needed maintains records persons served collects behavior academic data maintains progress notes enters information electronic health record documents all information related incidents programs routine activities communication log stores administers documents disposes medication persons consistent MAC requirements funding source regulations Company policy communicates interested parties program nurse funding agency case managers service providers Visiting Nurses Association nurses physicians participates mandated training staff meetings directed manager assists orientation new staff ensures compliance internal external regulatory bodies ensures program site safety maintenance times general housekeeping lawn mowing snow shoveling garbage removal complies corporate divisional policies procedures safe work practices workers compensation universal precautions exposure control completes various paperwork logs online data records communication logs community membership logs chore schedules timesheets application forms ensures required staff consumer ratio maintained times performs last-minute coverage required functions human rights advocate provides physical intervention first aid event behavior medical emergency serves reporter Disabled Persons Protections Commission maintains certifications reviews replies work emails follows Vinfen administrative policies performs other duties related.
