- Work cooperatively with youth, volunteer coaches and parents in a semi-structured sports setting.
- Enforce established rules for the sport and age divisions assigned.
- Recognize and eliminate potential hazards from the playing area before and during games.
- Maintain professional demeanor and serve as a positive representative of the YMCA at all times.
- Recognize and work to de-escalate potential confrontations.
- When not actively officiating, assist team with time keeping or other duties as assigned.
- Minimum one season experience as a player or official for sports assigned.
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
- Ability to foster strong relationships and demonstrate effective communication skills.
