    We have an opening in our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility for a Business Analyst/Developer- Business Intelligence (BI).

    The BI Analyst/Developer is responsible for supporting company operational business goals and objectives by creating, monitoring and maintaining dashboards and data warehouses and using/managing appropriate BI tools to address business requirements and accurately and effectively transform raw data into relevant insights via interactive, clear and concise dashboards and reports.

    Collaborating closely with the Information Technology (IT) department and other cross functional internal and external stakeholders, the incumbent serves as an internal resource and primary point of contact (POC) for the utilization of multiple BI technologies, specifically Power BI, as well as other tools including, but not limited to: Tableau, (SQL and Redshift) databases, data integrations and data transformations, etc.. She/he is also responsible for daily support, maintenance and oversight of the internal data warehouse used to create dashboards and ETL scripts used to load and transform appropriate data.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


    • Develops, maintains and utilizes databases and tools necessary to monitor, report and provide strategic support and recommendations for business decision making and other key areas of business; Analyzes complex sets of company data, dashboards and performance metrics to determine accuracy and relevance to support business growth and improvement


    • Serves as internal resource and POC on BI analytics tools and interpretation for internal business partners, senior leadership and cross-functional teams as well as external vendors and suppliers of data sources


    • Recognizes business requirements in context of BI and creates data models to transform raw data into relevant insights; Uses Power BI to create dashboards and interactive visual reports, conducts in-depth analytical summaries and runs DAX queries and related functions; Creates, tests and deploys Power BI scripts, as needed; Makes technological adjustments and improvements to existing BI solutions


    • Creates charts and data documentation including explanations of algorithms, parameters, models and relationships; Collaborates with business partners to define key metrics; Analyzes, extrapolates and explains metrics presented in executive dashboards to cross functional teams and appropriate internal stakeholders to provide insights to support decision-making; Converts business needs into technical specifications and establishes timetables for job/task/project completion


    • Analyzes, creates and maintains existing and new data integrations and ETL procedures using available utilities; Creates, organizes and maintains incoming data feed scripts from various internal and external data sources and vendors


    • Maintains and expands/enhances SQL data warehouse with all essential data across company; Utilizes SQL queries and Stored Procedures to maintain a consistent clean/cleansed data warehouse and prepares data for usage in dashboards


    • Advises the organization on technical-related topics as required

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    · Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and minimum 2 years hands on work experience with databases, dashboard tools and data transformations OR equivalent combination of education and experience with databases, dashboard tools and data transformations


    • Strong, hands on experience working with multiple data visualization tools/systems (i.e., Power BI, Tableau etc.)


    • Working knowledge of Power BI application security layer models


    • Experience with BI Stack tools and technologies (i.e., SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, etc.)


    • Strong proficiency in data analytics


    • Current, hands on experience with DAX language/queries and proficiency in advanced level data set computations


    • Experience with Data Integrations and Data Transformations (ETL)


    • Proficiency in software development (C#/.NET)


    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server


    • Strong documentation skills
