Prestigious CA-based law practice seeks a full-time experienced Human Resources (HR) Director to join the Firm's leadership team in Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment onboarding and integration of new hires Manage performance review processes and career development programs Partner with managers and practice group leaders to evaluate staffing needs across departments and practice areas analyze employee relations trends help develop proactive retention strategies solutions programs policies etc Administer manage employee leave of absence programs including FMLA CFRA ADA accommodations other statutory or firm-specific leave policies Serve as trusted advisor on employee relations matters conflict resolution disciplinary actions Conduct confidential internal workplace investigations report facts findings to firms employment counsel discuss recommend remedial action Ensure compliance with all federal state local employment laws including wage hour regulations EEO Develop implement regularly update firm-wide HR policies procedures including employee handbook ensure legal compliance operational efficiency alignment firms values strategic goals Develop implement oversee compensation strategy salary benchmarking annual review process salary data report analysis recommendations modify existing compensation structure Oversee benefits program health insurance retirement plans Evaluate recommend enhancements total rewards offerings Communicate payroll integrate employee vacation sick time wages State Disability Insurance SDI Paid Family Leave PFL benefits Provide guidance mentorship HR team members fostering professional growth ensuring alignment firms strategic HR objectives Lead HR team delivering high quality efficient confidential support services Manage HRIS systems accurate recordkeeping reporting Requirements Bachelor degree Human Resources Business Administration related field PHR SPHR SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred Minimum years progressive HR experience least years leadership role Prior experience law firm professional services environment highly desirable Strong knowledge employment law HR best practices Superior interpersonal communication leadership skills Ability travel Firm office locations travel expectations Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Human Resources Legal General Business Industries Law Practice Human Resources Services Office Administration
